Lynn W. and Evelyn M. Harris of Ogden, UT, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
They were married on December 19, 1957, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Lynn graduated from American Fork High School. He served a two-and-a-half year mission for the LDS church in Switzerland. He served two years with the U.S. Army in Germany. He graduated from BYU and worked in the cabinet business, in Ogden, most of his life. He has served in many different positions in the LDS Church and is still an active member.
Evelyn graduated from Boise High School and received a B.A. and M.A. from BYU. In April 2017, she received an Honorary Doctor of Humanities degree from Weber State University, where she taught for 36 years. She has been an active performer and teacher since 1957. She has served as a ward choir director for over 50 years and held other music positions in the LDS Church.
Lynn and Evelyn have 18 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren (two more on the way)! Their children are: Sherilyn (Dave) Schoonmaker, Janalee (Gary) Stinger-Bird, Juleen (Jeff) Sherman, and Tom (Emily) Harris.
